Dodd String Quartet: Great Fugue

Featuring the monumental Grosse Fuge (1826) by Beethoven, preceded by two of Purcell's Fantasias in 4 Parts from 150 years earlier. Both of these inventively contrapuntal works astound and challenge our modern ears.
